Aluminium Monitor Stand, VESA, Height-Adjustable, 27 to 32 inch

$117.00
Type

The monitor is the most expensive thing on most desks. It usually sits on the ugliest object in the room.

This is a machined aluminium column on a weighted flat base, closer to a studio display stand than a plastic riser. The screen mounts on a standard VESA plate and floats above the desk, cables run down a slot cut through the column, and the base is heavy enough that a nudge does not move it. Available fixed, or with a height-adjustable carriage that slides through 12.5 cm of travel.

Why we chose it

Most monitor stands solve the height problem and create an appearance problem. This one does both at once. The anodised aluminium finish sits quietly beside a laptop rather than competing with it, and the cable slot means the desk behind the screen stays clear. It is the stand a good monitor deserves, at a fraction of what the display makers charge for the same idea.

Key features

  • Machined aluminium alloy with a weighted base that resists tipping
  • Fits 27 to 32 inch monitors, including curved panels
  • VESA 75 x 75 and 100 x 100 mm, standard screw fixing
  • Tilt 0 to 20 degrees, swivel 30 degrees left and right
  • Rotates 90 degrees clockwise into portrait
  • Cable pass-through slot cut through the column
  • Fixed: screen centre 33 cm above the desk, 44 cm tall, base 22 x 15 cm
  • Height-adjustable: screen centre 29 to 41.5 cm, 44 cm tall, base 20 x 16.5 cm
  • 4 kg, which is most of why it stays where you put it

Fitting it

Check the VESA holes on the back of your monitor first, they will be 75 or 100 mm apart. Measure from the centre of those holes down to the desk to work out the height you want, then pick fixed or adjustable accordingly. Small differences do not matter, the tilt and swivel absorb them. Mount the plate to the monitor before setting it on the column, and support the screen until the fixing screws are tight.
