This stand is machined from 6-series aluminium, anodised and finished with a fine sandblast, so it reads as part of the display rather than something bolted to it. One upright column on a flat plate base, a carriage that glides through 12 cm of height, a hinge that tilts the screen to your eye line, and a hub that turns it into portrait. It takes monitors from 24 to 40 inches with VESA 100 x 100 holes, up to 10 kg.

Why we chose it

Stands that can carry a 40 inch screen usually look industrial, and stands that look this clean usually stop at 5 kg. This one does neither. It carries twice the load of our standard aluminium stand, covers every common desk monitor size in two frames, and sits well below what display makers charge for their own stands.

Build and finish

Every structural part is 6-series aluminium alloy, anodised for a hard, corrosion resistant surface and sandblasted to a soft matte silver that does not show fingerprints. The screws that hold your monitor are stainless steel. 

Adjustment

The carriage rides on two spring balanced rails with 120 mm of travel, so the screen stays where you leave it without a locking knob. The hinge tilts the screen forward and back, and the round hub rotates it into portrait for code, documents and long reads. Cables run down through a slot cut in the column.

Please note

This stand fits VESA 100 x 100mm only, not 75 x 75mm. Check the four holes on the back of your monitor before ordering. It does not swivel left and right; turn the base to angle the screen. The spring carriage works best with monitors close to the upper part of the weight range, so a very light screen may sit slightly high.

Living with it

Fit the mounting plate to the monitor first, then lower it onto the stand and hand-tighten the four screws while supporting the screen. Wipe the aluminium with a soft dry cloth. Avoid abrasive cleaners, which will polish the matte finish.
